Oh! Such tragic news this evening! My musician friends from Puerto Vallarta called and texted to say they had heard rumors that my dear friend Darrel McLeod died last night, Thursday, August 29. My daughter Ariel confirmed it on the internet. I don’t think I have ever had a friend like Darrel and am devestated. I still can’t come to grips with his passing. We just spent wonderful time listening to music and talking when I was in Mexico this month. An acclaimed writer and dedicated jazz singer and the most loving person I have ever met. Rest in peace Darrel and know you are not forgotten here on earth. I learned so much from you.
