Alejandro Martinez Gil from Mexico City has been performing at Cuates y Cuetes and other prestigious Puerto Vallarta locations for several years now. In the tradition of Django Reinhardt he enchants audiences solo and in frequent sessions with other talented friends.
Alex comes from a family of fine Mexico City musicians and has shown us the results of his innovative guitar playing in many performances here in Puerto Vallarta. Educated at top universities and with very talented mentors, I consider him one of the finest guitarists I have heard. Dedicated to his work and always displaying a welcoming personality, he is one of the finest individuals I have met.

This season Alex has been treating us to favorites by Django Reinhardt and other wonderful arrangements from early Elvis Presley to the Beatles Norwegian Woods. You will be blown away by the innovation and wonderful guitar/banjo playing of Alex. Roberto Falcon on bass adds unbelievable ingredients. At his performances Friday evenings 6-8 at Cuates y Cuetes with French import Gwenaēl Micault (Wen) on accordion and Magali Uribe with her melodic voice and violin he brings us a full variety of music from traditional Mexican to French Jazz Manouche and some incredible renditions of American oldies.
His solos will blow your mind! Be prepared for new and creative music when you see Alex and his friends perform. Alex has really found his "Happy Place" here in Puerto Vallarta where he dedicates all of his talent, time and energy to bringing marvelous music to the Banderas Bay area.
