Caleb Cabrera founder together with his brother Jair Cabrera of the ever popular Latin Fusion band Media Luna, has inaugurated his solo career this year (2021) with a beautiful collection of spectacular new pieces. Some are his own original compositions and others innovative covers displaying his incredible guitar skills. Caleb has always been drawn to the classical waltzes and traditional music of his Latin American culture which he shared with us in much of the music of Media Luna. This new direction with its classical overtones and subtle guitar moves will impress even the most demanding connoisseur.
Since the season is just beginning, albeit with a slow start due to the set backs of Hurricane Nora and the Covid 19 pandemic, we haven't had a lot of opportunity to experience this new level of Caleb's creativity. Before the hurricane knocked Incanto out temporarily with the raging waters of the River Cuale, Caleb was performing on the Riverside Terrace during brunch and I was able to hear him there. My admiration for his new direction is deep and I hope we can see and hear him play frequently very soon.
During the pandemic Caleb created some lovely videos on You Tube which I will share with you here. I am certain you will be inspired to look for him and witness this wonderful music in person very soon. I will make it my job to keep you informed here as I learn of performances.

Sundays at Incanto, Caleb plays solo for a happy brunch group of fans. 11-2:00 is the time on Incanto's Terrace overlooking the river at the Insurgentes bridge. Great food, great music and such a relaxing setting. You won't want to go home!
