Vaccines Are in The Air, And for Me That Means Travel!

Today is a big day! After months of waiting, along with the rest of the world, I am receiving my second Covid19 vaccine dose. I have been anxious as the process of rolling out these vaccines here in California has been wrought with issues—lower than expected delivery of vaccines, unprepared and over-stressed governmental departments resulting in delays. Finally, it looks like we are in business and will soon get many people vaccinated efficiently.
One hurdle to overcome is the reluctance of many people to accept the protection the vaccine offers because of incorrect information spread by various factions. It has become a political and demographical problem and is a sad situation. While the health departments are trying their best to reach vulnerable populations, fear of the government from a history of abuse experienced by some groups and or false information regarding the vaccine has convinced people to stay clear of this opportunity. There is currently a campaign to educate people about the vaccine's efficacy and safety by public figures, including high-profile entertainers and other respected society icons. Hopefully, it will be successful.
I am now counting off the weeks until I can be back in Puerto Vallarta after an entire year of absence. When I arrive, my first stop will be to see my friends, the Morales brothers, Lazzaro, Immer, Carlos and Giorgio, aka Los Bambinos, for a beautiful meal and a great show. They entertain audiences with the music of the Beatles and Queen this season. On Friday, they do a Fiesta Latina with mostly Spanish language pieces, and Saturday celebrates the legends of rock and roll. It is a party atmosphere, and guests love to dance and sing along. I have been fortunate to be part of this crowd over the years, enjoying their superb talent and great music.
Inspired by Giorgio, who studied culinary arts, the group opened their own restaurant/bar, Bambinos Trattoria, now known as Bambinos Bohemia•Cocina•Bar, a few years ago. You can find them on Aguacate and Carranza, where they perform up to 6 nights a week to a packed house during the high season. Their devoted fans keep coming back, bringing with them friends and family. Giorgio personally looks over the kitchen and the talented chef, making certain they offer a delicious menu at reasonable prices. Lazzaro greets you at the door, and Immer and Carlos are always available for greetings and abrazos. You need never feel lonely with the warm and welcoming Bambinos around. For reservations, call 3221163428. Find them at Aguacate 314, Emiliano Zapata, Zona Romántica. I hope to see you there!
